What's your Life's Purpose?

January 10, 2018

Do you get so motivated on "success" based on chasing money or cool things that you miss the true purpose of why you're alive? Life has issues and living happens when you overcome those issues. Let’s dive into a few things that will bring your driving purpose to life.

Don't get me wrong, I love nice stuff! There is nothing wrong in applying yourself and enjoying the rewards of hard work. If you let the pursuit of money and possessions control you, then you miss the point entirely.

“Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans” –JL Make a difference…Take the time to mentor, counsel, motivate and inspire. You will find a significant fulfilment when you realize it’s not about you and what you alone can do.

“Time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it. You can make more money, but you can't make more time. When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time. It is not enough to just say relationships are important; we must prove it by investing time in them. Words alone are worthless. Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love is T-I-M-E.” – Rick Warren

No one can survive for long if they are completely obsessed by work; that route will only lead to off-the-chart stress levels and will end in burnout or eventually depression. I think it boils down to one thing. We can live life dissatisfied or take action and get out of our comfort zone. Make an impact daily in someone else’s life.

TOOLS FOR THE DAY :Complement someone today, smile and open the door for someone, let that car go ahead of you, etc. We have plenty of things that happened in our life to cause us to be bitter or unhappy. Choose to live your life happily. Something you must remind yourself to always do. You can't feel sorry for yourself, worry about something you said, or about something someone else said about or to you. What good did or does that do you? How does that improve your life? How might that affect others? Move on and grow.

Life without love is a life without purpose. The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose. Love what you do and show that as much as you can.
